Stacey English has over 25 years' experience in financial services regulation and technology.  As a financial services regulator, Stacey led industry-wide mis-selling investigations and internal audits of the now FCA , and held senior risk management and compliance roles in global banks and insurers.   She is currently Director of Market Intelligence for Theta Lake, which provides supervision, risk-detection and compliant archiving for modern communications like Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex and WhatsApp, including video, voice, chat and document content.

A current Honorary Fellow of Cambridge Judge Business School – Cambridge Centre For Alternative Finance, Stacey provides expert guidance on regulatory innovation. She is co-author of “Conduct and Accountability in Financial Services”, published by Bloomsbury Professional. For more than a decade, she provided regulatory insight to financial services firms as Head of Regulatory Intelligence for Thomson Reuters, including leading industry research covering conduct, culture, and the cost of compliance.

Stacey is a qualified accountant and Fellow of ACCA with the highest results worldwide. She holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Certificate in Financial Planning, completed the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme through Saïd Business School and has first class degrees in BSc (Hons) Applied Accounting and BA (Hons) Business Administration. She’s a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments, the Personal Finance Society, and the Chartered Insurance Institute.
