Neelima Veluvolu joined Wells Fargo in October 2023. Neelima is Head of Financial Crimes and Regulatory Operationsreporting to the head of Shared Services Operations. In this role, Neelima oversees the Global Operations teams who enable the Bank to meet regulatory obligations such as AML/BSA requirements for client screening and onboarding, the ability to certify the firm’s deposit balances for the FDIC, and timely filing of Currency Transaction Reports. Neelima also has responsibility for the transformation of Wells Fargo’s Financial Crimes and Regulatory Operations teams where the priority is to protect the firm’s customers, enable business growth and meet regulatory obligations while using a service delivery mindset.

She joins most recently from JPMorgan Chase Bank, where she led their Community Impact Team and the banks $30 billion commitment to help close the racial wealth gap by aligning priorities and outcomes across multiple business lines to address the drivers of racial inequity. Prior to this role, Neelima held positions leading AML Alerts & Investigations, Due Diligence Operations, Know Your Customer Solutions and Wholesale Payments Transformation.

Neelima contributes to the local New York City community by serving on the Associates Council of Prep for Prep, a leadership development program that offers promising students of color access to a private school education. In this capacity, Neelima created a sustainable pipeline for Prep for Prep’s students to have meaningful internship experiences at a young age which then creates the opportunity for top diverse talent to secure full-time opportunities upon graduation. Neelima has dual degrees from Rutgers University – Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Visual Arts and Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics. Neelima lives in Harlem in New York City with her partner, Gregg, and his son, Daniel. She loves to paint and cook and has travelled the world extensively. Neelima is based at 30 Hudson Yards, New York City
