Jessica Bartlett is the Global Head of Financial Crime Legal. Jessica leads a legal team based in the UK, Europe, Asia, and the US that advises senior management, the business lines and functions including compliance on financial crime issues including economic sanctions, export controls, anti-money laundering, and anti-corruption. Jessica joined Barclays in Hong Kong in 2018, and previously was a senior associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer based in Hong Kong and New York.

Previously, Jessica practiced at Shearman & Sterling based in New York City. Before joining private practice, Jessica clerked for the Honorable Sidney H. Stein, District Judge for the Southern District of New York. Jessica holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois., a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Brandeis University, and Bachelors of Arts degrees in Art History and Political Science from Southern Methodist University. In 2022, Jessica chaired the Board of Governors for the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and prior was on the Board and was co-chair of the Law Committee for the American Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong.
