In his role Alex is responsible for overseeing the development of the surveillance program which includes implementation of comprehensive trade and communication surveillance platforms and analytics, data science, program metrics, data quality, and overall surveillance book of work execution.

Alex joined Citi with over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, specializing in development and oversight of surveillance programs.  Prior to joining Citi, Alex served as Americas Head of Monitoring and Surveillance at Goldman Sachs. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Alex held senior compliance positions at JP Morgan Chase and HSBC, where he was responsible for strategic surveillance program development, regulatory control review, and consent order remediation efforts.  Prior to that Alex served as a Program Director at FINRA Market Regulation overseeing the development of the cross-market surveillance program.

Alex received his B.S. in Applied Math and Information Systems from University at Stony Brook, and his J.D. from New York Law School.
