XLoD Global – London attracted more than 630 senior practitioners from 1st line risk and control functions, 2nd line compliance units and 3rd line audit teams over three days in November. Clear themes emerged during the many panel discussions, meetings and roundtables: non-financial risks are multiplying and becoming more complex; coping with this expansion requires more resources, new technologies and better collaboration between the 3 lines; and the regulators themselves must acknowledge the shortcomings in both local regulatory frameworks as well as international harmonisation.
